No spark again!
I have a project 93 sl750. I had it running last weekend. When I orginally bought the ski it has a bad stator. I replaced the stator and had to keep plugging the CDI in a few times and I got spark back (I figured something was loose or I hooked it up wrong). I drove the ski on sunday after the new stator and it ran great.
Today I went to start it and I had no spark again! I split the electrical box and unplugged the black/yellow wire. Still no spark. I ohmed the stator at it met spec. I bypassed the first coil and I still have no spark. I have a spare 94 CDI which came with a electrical box I bought for the coils so it's a total unknown. I plugged the unknown CDI in and still have no spark. What should I be looking for? Can I test a CDI? Should I get another CDI to try? Do I need to check the regulators?? I am at a total loss.

Which one? I have 4 of them in the elec box. CDI, stator, solenoid, something else.

Doesn't the elec box get it's ground from the stator lead? I assume the ground has to be fine at the 4 grounds I have, otherwise the solenoid wouldn't let the starter turn. I also assume the block has to be grounded because the starter turns over.

Check out the manual Beerdart posted and follow their testing procedures.
Is there any water or rust present inside the elec box? Often the seal goes missing or breaks and water will reek havoc in an electrical system.

Check the back of the electrical board for rust and make sure your wires are properly attached to the board. Double check that the wiring at the CDI are tight, those bullet connectors can give trouble at times.
Be sure to check the start/stop switch.

It's a 93 so I have no board to check. I have checked the stop switch, I have also disconted the black/yellow wire. Between putting 2 CDI's in I have covered the bullet connectors a few times. xlint89 the electrical box I bought from you is the spare CDI I tested. Do you know if the CDI came from a running ski?

So disconnecting the black/yellow eliminates the tether and kill switch.
About the grounds.
The manual shows the stator ground is orange, where is it attached?
Where is the black from the stator harness grounded?
Where is the CDI grounded?

The stator ground is orange and it grounds to the stator plate itself. It's not really user selectable where it grounds too.
The black from the stator harness is in the electrical box, when I put the CDI in I place it on one of the screws that holds down the CDI.
The CDI is grounded to the same screw as above.
I have 4 things on the one screw:
1. stator plate harness ground.
2. CDI ground.
3. fuel sender / kill switch ground
4. solenoid ground
I know that the ground is functional since the solenoid works.
