Exhaust mod question!
Im new to to 4-stroke world. Not sure if this can be done or not so i will ask and find out.
On my exhaust it goes into the metal pipe into a big round thing out of that to the opposite side of the ski and out again to the back of the seadoo.
This is what i wanna know. Can i take out the second big tube thing (assuming its a silencer) and just re-route my hoses so it goes out the same location just with out that silencer thing there. Or no way dont do it.??
If i can what should i use for the bends?

Are you talking baout the resonator? When looking at your handle bars from the rear of your ski is it on the right? If so...
YES, you can its called a free flow exhaust setup...do a search...
All ya need is a 8.5" peice of SS pipe with about 1/8" tall welds at the ends...then just replace the baffle with this and clamp her down and you gained 50-100rpms, adn a loud ski...
JUST LIKE MINE!

If you are talking about the black round one then yes, you can take it out. You can then add an 8 1/2" long piece of 2 1/2" stainless steel pipe and connect the stock hoses back on to that. Go out and enjoy one of the cheapest mods you can do on this thing!
Of course there can be other suggestions, Im sure someone will chime in soon.
You can find the part here http://www.rivayamaha.com/RivaStore/...0Exhaust%20Kit
Of course you can find it cheaper elsewhere!

Are you talking about the big hose that goes from your waterbox to the baffle? the one that goes way up towards the top of your ski...if so that you can replace the baffle and that big ol' hose with a PPG power pipe...you can get resonated and non resonated...

FYI guys... something i always foget also... seadoo did not use the big black plastic resonator until 2004.
2002-2003 4-tecs utilized TWO waterboxes.
this pictures shows it bad... but here's the only picture i really have of the engine compartment of my 2003 NA 4-tec

If it's 2.5 tubing you could use 2.5 SS joiners (which I used for a free flow)
http://www.siliconeintakes.com/joiner.htm
to reroute the waterbox you could use
silicone connectors with t-bolts. Might cost around 50.

maybe buy the RXT replacment exhaust tube ? then use a 2.5 SS joiner like a free flow.
