Sportster/Speedster Storage Compartments
Has anyone developed a safe way to store some of those not so often used items, within the engine compartment? I know you need to be cautious about what you store back there, but curious if anyone has comeup with any ingenous ideas.
Thanks
Jeff

I don't know if it's "ingenious" or not, but I use 4" PVC pipe sections for storing miscellanous, infrequently used small stuff back there. Cut the pipe to length that you want/fits the compartment. Cap one end permanently with PVC cap and cement; use rubber "test cap" on the other end. The test cap comes with a stainless clamp (at Lowe's, anyhow). It's tough, watertight, and inexpensive.

While trailering I stuff my big buldgy bumpers up the cavity infront of the battery so I can put other stuff like ski's in the ski locker.
