leaking seals
I guess somebody mention that 07 suffered from bad sealing under the seat I notice dry accumulated salt after a hard riding and jumping in the wave in choppy condition, is the seal under the seat not tight enough to prevent water coming into my engine compartment? How to replace them by better type of seal or how to solve this issue?

I found it depends where you sit on the sit, I found with my fat Ass that I sit in the middle and it spreads the seat out wider so creates the leaks, especially in the rough chop. I think this is why the new webbing is in the 08's. I got sick of the paint starting to chip so I used clear plastic tube cut length ways and double sided tape to create a rubber cushin for the seat to sit on and move around, still get a little water in but not as much but the paint and glass is protected now. The tubing if you get the right size sights neatly over the lip.

I noticed there was a bit of a gap betwen the hull (red bit) and the black plastic bit at the rear of the opening so I put a bit of silicone on there, it reduced it a bit but I still get some salt on the motor. 250x seems to be pretty bad for nuts and bolts rusting, never had any on my 7 yr old Yammie.
