Wish me luck guys! I am going in for LASIK tommarrow!
Yup, tommarow I am going in for LASIK eye surgery...my eyes are so bad that I will have to go twice...the first time they can get one eye to 20/20 and the other to 20/40 and then I have to go back in4-5 month and get the other eye down to 20/20...
Anyone else had this done?
mine starts at 8:30 in the morning...
the thing cost 5000 bucks! but my contacts are 300 bucks every year...so I guess over my lifetime it will save me money...
Wish me luck!

My wife had this done 7 years ago and has perfect vision with no complications. I think we paid 1500 bux because they were just opening up a clinic here (Sask Canada) and wanted to get as many patients as possible to start out. Good luck and I hope you see the light!

Sister had it done a few months back. It was free cause (her now fiance`) owns 2 eye practices. She was out of work for a long time I know.

One Problem though
One problem with lasik, now you get to see what you really look
like in the morning in the mirror........
Best medical procedure out there as far as bang for the buck,
think about it, two eyes running 18 hours a day for another 50/60
years....!
I was 20/400, wore contacts for 25 years, now.....great!

I had both of my eyes done in January of 2005 and have no regrets at all. I used to be 20/30 in my right eye, but 20/200 in my left.
Apparently after about 20 years or so, you'll need to get them redone.

As for recovery the best thing that you can do after the procedure is come home and take something that will make you sleep....a long time!
I woke up early and my eyes were VERY scratchy. After about a day that went away for the most part. I had mine done on a Thursday late afternoon and was back to work on Monday. After a week or so I had no physical symptoms or discomfort at all. Your vision will fluxuate a bit for awhile though. But nothing huge.
