First RXP-X Mods
When I first got the ski I thought I could handle keeping it stock as it is an amazing ski in its stock form and from what i have seen, beats everything on my lake (now that cosmic hasnt been here) but there are most likely some modded skis out there preparing for summer so i was thinking to mod my "X" not only for my own enjoyment but also to not be embarrassed by some old ski...
right now im thinking of a few things:
- RIVA air intake = improved accel, 1-2 mph, and 150-200rpms....................................$250
- JAWZ prop mod = improved accel, and increase in mph (3-5 perhaps).........................$ ???
- RIVA top-loader grate = improved accel, 1-2 mph, AND reduces bucking up to 80+........$150
Basically the deciding factor is $$$, but what do you think would be most beneficial for least amount of money and i dont want to lose ANY holeshot, but i shouldn't according to the parts above. (maybe im wrong tho)
Deff. want to surpass 70 and want to be close to 73-ish
thanx,

Another mod without losing holeshot is Jim's rideplate. That's another 1.5-2+ mph for $215-425 depending on skegs or not. Then fill the rideplate holes after installation along with the intake grate holes.

Just cut your stock intake grate (like in my thread), fill your ride-plate holes, and cut the hump off the reverse bucket and you will be at 73+ mph for free.

Do everything MPower said and add a wedge and a set of RE block offs. With just that I got 75mph.

dont you experience overstuffing going that fast.. i think im just going to go ahead and get a top-loader intake grate (about 2mph) a power filter (1-2mph) and both will improve accel. and lets say stock i went 67-68 because i dont remember what the GPS read, so with those i would be around 71 and then fill rideplate holes id be around 72mph then i could do some other free mods and be in the 72-75mph range for about $360 (400 w/o discount)
tell me if there is anything i should rethink or add.

to help give you guys an idea, i want to keep the same or improve handling and accel.... and ofcourse topspeed
basically im not willing to sacrifice holeshot to get another mph or so.

i have just done the 4" intake and bored out the throttle body. the acceleration is insane. about 2 boat lengths over stock. thats if it doesnt fly into the air when full throttle. next is definatly the grate but im waiting for Worx.

go with a 4 inch air intake, way cheaper and better performance than the power filter... kanoflex and a ss filter on the end are under a hundred, vs the riva air for 240$
grate will be interesting, if you know your not going to use it then keep it stock and sell it after. But i wouldnt cut it until the prop was repitched.
of course, fill the holes man, fill the holes

so how does this sound:
- 4" intake
- fill rideplate holes
- top-loader grate
- and a 15/22R prop
totaling around $500-600, right? how much faster do you think i will go?
