So, Whats it gonna take to fix this?
Is it my CR ya think?
I'm assuming the salt is due to the engine misalignment & has probably wrecked the ring. After the san pedro to catalina hard run it was a pig the following weekend. Slower than stock so I pulled the SC & here's what I saw.
25 hrs on the washers!
The groove is pretty deep @ just under 5ftlb slip. Even with a shim it was still under 6ftlb slip. I added some new spring washers with the shim & was able to get 9.8 ftlbs for the ride today but it still felt like it was flat all through the power band. I checked the slip after the ride & it was 8.5ftlb. I don't have a boost gauge but all the connections were snug. Are these washers beyond hope? I have another set but I want to be sure for future reference. How about the gear, am I needing a new one? The rebuilt SC has 25 hrs on it!

Dayum...that engine bay looks like crap.
You run a catch can?
Would the line run back into your intake help you in salt riding?

Look at the bright side, You have a Birthday comming up and it's time to claim that B-gift from Green Hulk. I would rebuilt that thang again if I were you. Keep the rest of the parts, just in case this country goes on recession. Good thing is we all get 10% off at Green Hulk for parts. Go-GOOOO Juice is still going up...Happy Birthday...

Dam Jim over the phone it did not seem that bad but now that I see pictures
. Your front housing does not look good where the SC impeller blade almost meet the housing. Looks like you had some type of rub there. New washers may be in order and gear and berrings and, Just get the kit LOL I know just ask Stan.
