951 DI LE help!!!!!!!!!!
Hi,
Ok I really need some you expert are help I’m in a sticky situation here. I have Sea Doo RX DI with a 951 LE engine. The engine had water damage and was sent off to a remanufacture for repair. Long story short it appears that I may never get my hands my engine or the S_ B that currently has it.
My problem as I ‘m told, is that the Le engine which stands for low emission cannot be replaced with a regular DI engine. I told the port timing and fuel maps are different.
I asked if I could swap out the MPEM and/or have it remapped. I was told, I could not because the wiring is different?
Anyone have any idea’s, other than setting the damn thing on fire?

...heard some pretty bad crap about the kind of business that they run. I dont know anything about your engine but i hope you get it up and running.

As far as I know all DI's are low emissions. The DI motor is different than the regular 951 as it has an air pump.

there is also more than one different cylinders in the di, i know of 2

If I'm not wrong the diference in the heads is because of the air inyectors (they change the shape in the second generation 2003 up) The first gen came to run on 91 octane plus and the secon one came 87 octane rate. The maping is the same as far as I know . In my opinion you can swap to any DI engine as far as you have the fuel rail and the air inyectors. Also your original harness . Hope this could help.

i guess that will teach you to buy a di huh lol ...id set the damn thing on fire ..one less di out there !
