boost gauge question
I seen some people running a autometer guage. How do these hold up in water? where did u tap the fitting? and where can I mount the guage on the ski? I'd like to put on on to monitor the boost from stock up to after I add mods and to keep an eye on the clutch.

Na i had the autometer i didnt like it to small and u cant accurateley read boost bouncing around at 70 mph with that little needle .... U just drill out the little nipple on top of the I/C unless u have an aftermarket I/C then u can just drill tap the stock I/C plate ... I just recently purchased the digital boost gauge

Here's a pic. It's drilled and tapped into the IC blockoff plate. If it's with a stock IC u can use the same place riva drills in the intake manifold that the blow off valve vacuum line goes to. Instructions my be in the "how to" tech section. hope this helps. They hold up ok with water, just don't pressure wash them

Im running an Autometer (analog)boost gauge and heres where I mounted it. . .
It might not show every .10/pound but I have no complaints, it does its job just fine.

Carfanatic: here is an Autometer liquid filled I mounted in my mirror housing. Custom made acrylic plate, plumbed into front manifold port...
Absolutely no needle bounce, and I have for the same reasons, to keep an eye on the SC. That`s how I knew it crapped out the first time!...PR...Last edited by Pale Rider; 01-11-2008 at 11:16 PM.
