Test fit of XSPOWER * Custom Rotax Racing Exhaust * 4"
Just about finished test fitting my exhaust, intercooler, 4" flex. We'll see how this and my first kick at repitching works out this weekend. The intercooler plumbing is all 3" and is about as tight as you can get it to the motor. I still have to build a support bracket but it looks like it will flow nice...guys running the Cobra elbow seem to be getting good performance from it so I'm sure it will work fine here.
How's this for gettin' fresh cold air!

I'm at 2.6 mph gain from my cobra, so far. Still have some tweaking.
Looks good!!!

Hey Guy's not to sound dumb but what's a cobra elbow?

It's the coupler coming off the outlet of my intercooler...90* elbow that flares out so that you don't loose volume and less turbulence

yuji you need to get the clamps like I have. There for high boost. They can hold up to 30 PSI. they are all SS and have a bolt that goes though it to really get it tight.

Actually I got all the T-bolt clamps with the couplers but he sent me the wrong size (too small) so I had to use the traditional one. Yer right tho'...t-bolts are far superior clamp.
btw...somefun, did you use the fittings that came with intercooler for your cooling lines or get some with barbs on them? I can't seem to find a 1/2" male thread to 3/4" barbed fitting anywhere around here.

I went to a boating store and they had just what I needed. If your using a stright it should be easy to find because that is the same fitting you would find on a GM water pump. I have seen them at Pep boy's and other places like that.
