7800 RPM's
i have basically a riva stage 1 rxp plus a vortech impeller. went riding last week and in very mild chop GPS'd at 69.5 and my RPM's were 7950 w/ 3 bars of fuel. so i changed the oil becasue i think it was a little to high thinkign this would get me some more RPM's. went out today and GPS'd at 67.2 in a little more choppy water and my RPM's were 7800 with almost a full tank. does more gas equal less RPM's? im going to change my wear ring next and see if i can get the RPM's up but what do u guys think about the spped and RPM difference?

I was getting 8,100 on my stock RXT today. The ski has only a wedge and opas blockoffs, nothing else. Lake temp was 76F and air temp was 86F. Speedo was 72mph. I think either my ski is fast or my wear ring is worn and I am really going slow. I think my ski must be fast because I smoked a few RXPs in 1 foot chop with 1-2 foot boat wakes. This really annoys me because this is my wife's ski and she never goes over 50mph!

Big $$$, says it's clutch time. (Or at least a shim to give you a littke more resistance) How long on those spring washers? And how long on the metal ones?
One other possible thing: I just recently changed out a friend's stock i/c with one of my old ones because there was a leak in his stock one from water which swelled out the rubber o-ring during the winter months. Pic to follow.

Here's a pic of the leaking o-ring. The veins of the i/c were all corroded inside and my buddy couldn't break 70 on a stg 1 in cold weather! Hey- you never know....
