For all of you with custom air intakes what filter should i get, where should i get it from, and what else do i need? Is custom the way to go or should i just buy the riva power filter for $225? Thanks

I also would like to just buy a 4" filter. Where is the best place?

the power filter from Riva is easy, direct plug and play, and includes EVERYTHING needed. for a custom air intake, it's alot of footwork and small pieces to make up and get creative with.... are you planning on doing alot of mods or just mild modifications? ... i'm probably going to recommend you just go with the Riva power filter and then down the road do an alteration to it to get a little more cool air flowing thru it.

Mine is going in the GPR so the air intake is custom. I just need the element. Where to buy?

I use the K&N universal filters- the sizes and shapes are plentiful... I pick one that Outerwears already stocks a water repellent pre-filter for and then order that through them.

If you call Outerwears and give them the K&N part # they will tell you if they stock a pre-filter for your potential choice in filter.
One thing that you may want to consider is that the universal filters are not classified as marine flame arrestors and not USCG approved- it doesn't bother me, but may some...
