My Weekend on the lake....
Hey everyone i just got back from Michigan from riding my new RXp and well all i have to say is wow! I loved it i got 6 hours on it already for 2 days worth, i got the machine up 1o 8000 rpms and was running excellent but the first problem that we had was that the key wasnt coded for the rxp so we had dropped the ski in the lake and fig that the key wouldnt work so we had to take it 45 min back where we got it and they siad they forgot to program it hahah. But other then that everything went well. But i have some questions....i was talking to the guy about wut oil and he said bombardier mineral oil, should i use that, or castrol something??? also i hate the OPAS bc
i could tell when i was goin wot and it hit a wave it looses it speed.

Now don't get me wrong I'm all into the old "break it in like you plan to ride it method"...

You can't go wrong using bombardier mineral oil. It may cost a little more, but you are probably only looking at one oil change per year.
As far as OPAS, like many people, I prefer without. But, you are going to be disappointed if you think that you will not have that loss of speed when you come unhooked without them. I guess it is just the way Seadoo does their rev limiter. My Ulta 150 does not have that dramatic speed loss going over waves like my RXP does.

OK, stop calling it MINERAL oil, its NOT.
Two oils are CONVENTIONAL oil and SYNTHETIC oil.
Mineral oil is a byproduct of oil refining and has no use in engines anywhere!!
I know its nit picking but mineral oil is 100% the wrong term to use.
