-unless you travel on stoned roads dont tow w/cover on. if your storing it put a blankie under the cover.
It's heavier of course, I've added triple the mass or more so it's nice and heavy which is good. Helps protect against impacts and scrapes.

Hold water in what sense? I've never used the cover outside as the ski is kept indoors. Is the stock cover waterproof? If it's not, then this isn't, either. If you want it to be, you could surely line it with a waterproof vinyl first, then go with the microfiber layer.

As for cleaning, I don't see why it couldn't be thrown in the washer like anything else. Worst that could happen is the microfiber delaminates a little. Just reglue it if so. Could also be hosed down if you like and just hung to dry in the sun.

I don't worry either way since I use it as an indoor dust sheild and that's it. The cover never leaves the garage.

I don't trailer with it because if there's stones, they hit the bottom of the hull anyway, never the top. It's better naked no matter what cover you got.

Blankie under the cover does the same job. I just made it easier with one tidy cover to install instead of two with one hangin down under the stocker. That's where the OCD comes in.

    Thanks all for the feedback!

Nope, I tow in the nude.

But if I had to trailer it with a cover, I'd happily do it with this one.

I prefer nothing touching my finish so no cover is best when on the road.

I thought that trailering was what they were made for.
I have always towed with mine on.
    havn't seen problems -yet.
My Yamaha cover is pos compared to my gtx ltd doo cover- it has lining made inside like yours.

Good idea, but what the heck do you do when docking or beaching.
When I got my 07, I polished out the dealer swirls and sealed it up with duragloss 501. I tried keeping it perfect like I do my GTO, but IMO its impossible to keep the finish in prestine condition on a ski.

BTW - I tow without a cover too and at the dock, I use my vest for protection

Like mentioned in the first post this is strictly for garage use where I store my ski. Dock or beachside it stays nude for the short time that it's there altho I do dry it completely as soon as I finish a ride.
