Purpose behind oil pressure jet and other RR Stg 1 Questions
1. Im curious as to the purpose of the oil pressure jet that comes with the RR stg 1 kit and if its possible for it to be purchased seperately?
2. I would assume the thinner head gasket adds compression to the motor again if it could be ordered seperately?
3. The supercharger shims they are talking about refer to the clutches correct, this is the dumb question but skis are new to me and am still catching up with some of the lingo, a lot of people mention not messing with these shims until the stock one goes but wanted to be sure we are still talking about the same part.

Actually, the oil pressure jet and thinner head gasket no longer come with the Rotax Racing Stage 1 kit.
Here is everything that comes with the kit:

The oil pressure jet allows more oil to get to the head and is desireable with higher RPM engines. The thinner head gasket does give your engine more compression. Both are available separately. I think the oil pressure jet is about $40 and the head gasket $110.
The clutch shim goes in between the first two spring washers. Once you have 10, or so hours on your ski the clutch loses some of its tension. Adding the shim brings the lost tension back.
Hope that help!

jerry is there any particular reason why they took those parts off the kit, not necessary, failed parts, etc.

we just wanted to simplify the kit to make it just a bolt on kit. stage 2 is for guys that want to go past bolt on, but like jerry said the parts are available seperately.

What performance do you see with a thinner head gasket ?
Is this something you can put on a stage 2 or do you need other bulletproofing in the engine ?

i dont really know for sure but when we put it on there was slack in the cam chain for just a split second then it would tighen back up. so we put back a new stock head gasket and it went away.
