Anyone know...?
I've heard of a few companies that you pay like $15,000 for a few years and you get to use their boats and yachts without having the hassle of cleaning, maintaining, or having them at your house.
I've seen it a few times but don't know a name of any company that does it in Miami. Did a google search woth no luck.
Anyone know of any?
What's it called by the way?

Chartering? But in order to rent a decent yacht (65ft) it will cost you about $15K per week.

Yeah its a lot more than 15k per month. Just check out chartering services, I'm sure you will find them pretty easily...but you will pay!!!

I looked into and almost went for it. I met with the owner and it seems like a good deal. I decided to buy jetskis instead.

I looked at the boats and there are plenty to choose from especially from Miami to West Palm Beach.
The boats looked VERY nice. Also when I took my boater's safety course there were about 3 or 4 people there that belonged and were happy with the club.

You may want to call them and see if they will have a booth at the South Florida Boat Show this weekend in Miami.

All I know its chartering…it’s like renting a car or a limo. Yeah I guess you can say that some of them pay per year like $30K and use a yacht for like 2 weeks during the summer….but it’s not like a contract…its just repeated customers/business. But I guess there are some places out there that do it as a contract and have a yearly membership fee.

Freedom boat club has a fleet of boats and many locations around florida, Long island and many other places.
All you do is call them a day before or so and reserve the boat that you want. They have cruising boats, dive boats, fishing boats etc. You take it and drive it and just return it and they clean it. You can go out everyday if you like.
WHen I looked at it the boats were nice, clean and seemed to be well maintained.
They make you buy insurance yearly and I am sure that you will do a bunch of tipping but that is it once you are paid up.

A local marina here in the panhandle offers such a service, it's 20K a year. They have everything from deck boats to Searay cruisers in the 50ft range, just call ahead and tell 'em what ya want and drop it off when youre done! Pretty sweet.
