Tripple piped GPR to RXP
Went to fiesta island with some friends today. I had added the Race engineering block offs and Chris's near new 14/19 solas and a brand new wear ring. The wear ring install was sooo simple. The more I go through the rxp the more I can see wear seadoo is on the cutting edge.
So when I first got the RXP it had gpsed at 72 and some change. The acceleration and holeshot was lack luster in my opinion. Handling in the corners it tended to slide out. This time the pe blockoffs really perfomed well. The ski got up on plane quicker and it tracked so much better through the turns. Seems that at times the ski catches the nose in a turn and you have to correct for it nothing major to be concerned with. The old larry bent 14/19 I had on there was only turning 7750 rpms at sea level in 70 degree weather. The new 14/19 solas was sooo much better. The acceleration was awsome and the holeshot felt likes marks tripple piper gpr. Even recovery time from hooking and un hooking was much improved. I have never been so comfortable riding a a ski. I am beginning to trust this ski and learn just what it can and cant do. I think my next race will be at long beach marine stadium or possibly long beach to catalina if I can get Mark to come down and run it with me. I do have a small problem with the pigtail on the knock sensor its causing a p-0326 code and dropping into limp mode. Steve friebe told me to get one from a dealer and I should be good to go. I wasnt sure letting go of my tripple piped gpr was the right thing todo but... the more I ride the rxp and learn how different and better and worse it is to the gpr the more I like what I have. Next mods on the list is to move the sponsons back onto the block offs. Have a wider blade made for the sponsons and install my new riva intake. Did I mention the ski is turning a solid 8150 rpms and only dropping 50 rpms after heat soak! Very very pleased with the ski.

Yeah those same rpms on that same prop in similar conditions was putting me at 71.9-72.3 with a full tank...I never got to test it low on gas with the PE blockoffs in place to see if I could squeak 73 as with the stock OPAS in place it porpoised like hell under half a tank...
