How did it react when you took it on the water? Have you taken a GPS to it yet?

So far the ski is handling well. No bugs other then having to counter steer to the left some. A jet pump has no torque, the left rotating propeller has natural tendency to drift my waverunner to the right.

I have made no GPS runs yet, and dont plan to for awhile.. right now I am going to slowly increase speed and feel it out.

We did a list of positives that could be realized from this project.. some include
1 greatly increased fuel economy and range
    2 increased efficiency and speed
3 no more pump tunnel problems
    4 less strain on engine

    and negatives
1 safety, have to be much more mindful of prop and others safety
2 horrible handling issues could surface (ever seen a 8-9 ft vpad boat handle 100mph speeds ? how about even 60mph... this is something new)
3 may be hard to tune due to efi being setup to specific loads at rpms, and now will have very little load at same rpms

This is for real?? Initially I just laughed about it ... was sure it was an early April fools joke ... details? I am assuming you closed up the bottom of the hull, custom driveshaft, etc. Is that an Arneson or a custom 'drive' setup, or? If the hydros with a 1200 motor go over 100mph, I imagine this would be faster yet ... potentially quite a bit faster ... better wear full safety gear and Depends ...

We want a video....we want a video...give us a peek at that shredder in motion...!!!

For the side drift issue, can a bigger central fin help to give more lateral stability to the craft (reducing the rear pull effect of the propeller)...???

I'm dying to see that in motion...like they say...

Its a surface drive prop sheepster. Only a small part is designed to be below the surface.

With that hull shape it might not be a bad idea to leave the pump cavity open and let the grate help hold the boat down. Skeggs on the plate might help with torque steer as well. The ones Jerry sells for the RXP might work on the R&D plate you have.

I for one will be hiding behind the radar boat when you do your run David, nothing against you tho.
