I was thinking of getting a 3 blade if I could send off my 14/19 to someone and get it adjusted to a 15/20. Can anyone do that to my prop, if so, and is it cheaper than buying or just a break even deal. But then again I might need to keep my 14/19 incase I get big heat fade in the hot summer days. It gets close to centry mark here in July and August and being at 2,900 I might need to have it in my back pocket.

In regards to the 3 blade, I can not imagine more acceleration as yesterday I stood on the back and gunned it and my slick shoes that I had on gave way to my 230 lb frame. Not very pleasent.
Go with the 15/20r 4 blade and get the adjustable venturi Like GH said. You can then adjust for hotter temps.

    Thats your ticket right there!

You can't really make a 14/19 a 15/20 through bending, because its the root angle on the hub that is what the numbers are based off...Keep the 14/19 as a spare...

    Testing new mods this afternoon.

I am going to test new mods this afternoon. Weather is going to be 60 degrees with low humidity and a little windy (oh well it is west texas).

I put a 15/20R - 1.5MM on the RXP, and removed the Riva thru hull w/box mod. I installed (just for now till green box is here) a stock water box, free flow exiting the thru hull just to get in the water.
probalbly will loose a few rpm going from gutted to stock box???
Plus I hope to loose some rpm's from the 15/20 to get in the perfect zone (8100 rpm)

I installed the riva thru hull w/gutted box on the GTX. We'll see if gain any rpm's going from stock free flow with stock exit to the riva thru hull w/water box moded. I left the prop the same since was running 7,600.
this test will be good to see rpm, cause end of next week I will install XS IC (fizzle) to this boat and I would imagine that I would have to put some back in my prop and therefore maybe gain a little mph.

Good work man... and great speed number for your set-up too... Remember there is no speed limit on the water.... (just kidding)..

    Tested new mods 2-01-08

    thanks man,

water 44 and air 61. elevation 2,600 ft. basically same as last test. (300 ft. less in elevation)
pretty bad chop - wind, skis had 5 bars this time and 2 bars in last test, not that it matters much.

    GTX
added riva thru hull and water box mod.
Exact same speed - not much change avg 66.5 with spike of 67.2.
Exactly same rpm 7,600 with flash of 7,610 rpm.
Sounds alot beter, no more ignoring resonance at 3,000 to 4,500 rpm.
Isn,t near as loud as it was on the rxp.
I think that exhaust mod on a low rpm ski and not heavily moded that you will see hardly any gain in performance.
Next weekend I will see what the XS IC does on that setup.
She needs more boost but for now it will wait.

    RXP
    Added 15/20R prop with -1.5 mm. (had 14/19R - 1mm)
Removed riva thru hull with water box mod.
Installed (temporary) stock water box with rubber hose free flow exhaust.
Hole shot - better hook up, seemed same acceleration, top speed avg 75.9
with high of 76.2 mph. previous test 76.4 high at 8,150 - 8,200 rpm with 10.6 to 10.7 lbs of boost.
    Rpm's this time 8,050 - 8,100 rpm with 10.5 to 10.6 lbs of boost.
Basically the same speed with better hook up at 100 less rpm. thats better but no speed to be found.
I think that the stock box and rubber hose hurt some. It definitely was quiet, I could hear the engine and sc too a tee.
I just have too see if when install the green box that I gain some rpm
(50+ ) back. I hope so, then maybe I can put some back in the prop and gain some speed.

    RxPrider,

I will be leaving for business tomorrow afternoon. I will try to get pics if have enough time, if not I will post pics next weekend, either way would be glad to help you with your IC. If you are in the market for XS, just pm JFizzlejr and he can hook you up with complete set up. It installed nicely with no other parts needed.
