t minus 2 hours
and I'll be at the lake for the first time since Oct.
I can't wait, checked everything out, put batteries in, ran them on the trailer for a few minutes. I'm ready taking the gps with me to see what I'm at with the few mods I have.

well went out for about an hour. The lake was high and all kinds of crap was floating in it. Near the ramp was horrible. My wife sucked something up, but it got spit out and didn't do any damage.
I only hit 65 on gps and 7900-7950 rpm. Last year with everything exactly the same except a little cooler air temps I was hitting 8100-8150, unfortunately I didn't have my gps with me last time, but the dreamo was pegging at 70. I didn't see above 67on the dreamo today.
Air temp was 78 water was 67. After we got home I checked the oil and it is over the second bend. So I will remove some and see if that brings my speed and rpm's back. I also had about 3-4 cups of water pour out of the drain plugs after I pulled it out of the lake. I think my carbon ring is shot so I will replace it. How much are they and how hard to replace? I don't see any water spritzing in, but there is so much stuff in the way I can't see that area with the seat cowel on anyway.

May want to fill up the hull and see where it is coming out from. I have always had better luck that way with the GPR anyway. Had a lot of experience, Gullet, ride plate, intake, they all have a tendency to leak.

Make sure to check the OPAS gasket above the pump that it is not loose.
