Pump wedge on rxp.
Can anybody tell me if the pump wedge that comes in the stage 1 kit is worth putting in.Ive read some good but more bad reguarding the wedge.
From the info i have seen it works better in the RXT but havent seen much feedback reguarding the RXP .Thanks

I dont have an RXP (I have a GTX LTD) but all I can say is you have to know how to come out of the hole with one....or you will hate it...Lean over the handle bars untill you get on plain (which is quick as shit) and then sit back and holdon!

It starts pulling out of the hole extremely harder. It is also worth about 1 MPH (gain) at the top end. We use them on RXPs all the time.

I love mine. Wouldn`t dream of taking it off. You really see the benifit when its rough. Drier ride and your entire body will thank you for getting one. `05 RXP

What Hoss said ... it definitely helps dry out the ride, makes it a bit smoother, plus it does add some speed in calm water. Once you get up over 75 mph, not sure, might be a different story then.

I just orderred the Riva sponson for my RXP. We`ll see just how much better the wedge benifits now.

I'm anti-wedge. The loss of hookup in the chop negates its speed improvement on glass for me. And now that I am in the 75+ MPH range, I don't want anything on my ski adding porpoising.

Interesting jarret. I just trim down a bit and stay hooked. Depending on chop of course.

like you said you will get 2 sides to the pump wedge.
some don't like them and others love them like myself.
benefits are a bit more top speed especially on flat to little chop, drier ride,
jumping waves with wedge and trim all the way up weeeeeee
the other side is the take off nose will come up a bit more,in moderate to strong chop.
the secret is depends where you ride and how you trim it. you are adding 2 degrees more to your trim.i might be wrong on this one.so just trim it down a bit most people on this site who has them say about a click or two above the neutral position.
and there is 2 other factors that improve hook up in chop with the wedge
the riva sponsons (or other type) and n.o.p.a.s especially pro series block off. the riva type or the newr type from GH.
HAVE FUN
