Castrol GTX Oil...
I just learned from a reliable source, that Gastrol GTX oil that we use in our SC ski`s are not friction modifier free. If this is the case then why is it ok to use in our sc ski`s? just asking so I can learn from it...PR...

thats odd..i was told it had no friction modifier's...

yeah..im not sure I could explain that for lack of resources myself. I just asked the friendly neighborhood NAPA guy, it sounded like he knew what he was talking about. And the other reason I bought castrol was because it was talked up so much on this forum...

Yes, Castrol is what we use, and I haven`t had any issues, was asking about castrol to an "Oil analyst" talking about comparitive oil brands, and he told me that. Why couldn`t we use a dif brand oil with the same api/sae certs?...PR...

Just to add:
Castrol GTX oil is an API SM oil that`s GF-4 rated and it`s energy conserving, which would be impossible to pass the tests without friction modifiers...
any comments or info would be appreciated...PR...

I just stick with the BRP oil so I dont have to worry about this. Spending the extra 10 bucks per oil change is definitely worth it rather than spending the money to rebuild the supercharger clutch!

I believe the rideplate needs to come off too......still no biggie.
