Welcome to the forums. First things first, when you go to buy a sea doo, don't call it a jetski. That's the Kawasaki brand name, wave-runner is the Yamaha brand name and sea doo, well, that's sea doo's brand name..
Yes, rxp is the fastest production ski out there, so far.
Then read this.

OPAS Block offs and an air intake, then you will need a new impeller.... go with Jerrys metal washers on your S/C clutch...Then hell you might as well send your pump off to skat when you need your new propa nd have them do the triple bearing mod and put a SS wear ring in there after that your ski will be bullet proof!

Get familiar with the ski first and if your into top speed numbers, get some base numbers before you start modding it (I use an Excel spreadsheet to keep a record). Also buy a GPS so you can get more accurate MPH numbers.
When you decide to start modding, get the Stage 1 as a kit. You will save $$ that way. Install one mod at a time so you can see what benefits you get out of it. Ultimately what you want to do is keep the 'go fast parts' only. No two skies are alike and what works on one will work differently on another.
Do a LOT a research using the search button. Lots of information and you will be able to filter out the BS versus great info.
If you buy the 2006 model you won't have to worry about the clutch failure that so many talk about...at least for now since the model is too new.
And post your results so others can learn from them.
