I'm gonna jump on SBT's OPAS BO's (price looks good)..was wondering what next mod would be more beneficial wedge or grate(Riva)
Still waiting to put her in the water..soon! It's warming Up
Thanks

Check to make sure, but i believe they recommend using the grate first because the wedge alone will make the craft handle unpredictably.

this is an RXT???
WEDGEEEE... if u want top speed. grate if u want rough water hook-up
on the 3-seaters.... a wedge and OPAS block offs should be sold together IMO as one kit. if u do one, u gotta do the other. that's been my experience on two 4-tec 3 seaters. Makes world of different in the machines balance, playfulness, and turning
just gotta pick your poison... u shooting for top speed numbers on calm water or all around performance?

basically all around performance...what wedge is best for RXT I heard 2.25 PPG works well.?

well on that note get yourself all three
the OPAS block offs and wedge should be done together in my opinion. it's a great combination and i love the results i get. however, now that i'm getting up into the 72+ mph range with my RXT, she begins to porpoise. If you have an intake grate, that would help you get sucked back down to the water, stay hooked up, and not porpoise as bad or not at all... but at a sacifice to top speed by a very little bit possibly.
i'm not sure if the PPG 2.25 wedges have changed at all since i had a hold of one, but they were close to identical to the 2.5 wedge.... 0.026" difference actually.... the 2.0 and 2.5 wedge you can get from jerry's online store, 2.25 you will need to call PPG.
i have not personally run the 2.0 wedge.... but i would say the vast majority with 3-seaters run the 2.5 wedge, a few have 2.25... and i know 2 people that run the 2.0 on the RXTs

My RXT's only got the opas fins blocked up but I really like the difference that the RIVA grate has made. Its far more predictable carving fast turns on smooth water, I havn't had a chance to really try it in chop yet but I'm expecting good things....
