Trailer Problem - Any Ideas?
My friend wants to buy a couple of jet skis and a two palce trailer. The problem is his garage is a one place garage and is exactly 8 feet wide. Most trailers are apparently that wide as well.
I'm trying to come up with other solution for him like:
Narrow trailer
Modular pair of one place trailers that can be towed as a double trailer
or
Just two single trailers with hitches welded to the back of them so he can tow them in line and have room to park in the narrow garage.
Anyone run into this problem before? Know of a solution? Thanks.

i just ran into this problem
my skis are ALWAYS garaged, but won't be anymore.
you can find a double trailer that's narrow and will fit, but they are far anf few between.... but the problem is the skis.... two 4-tecs squished together are 8 feet exactly.
I have a double garage with two single doors... dying to put a steel I beam in there and remove the support column, but we just re-did the entire exterior of the house less than a year ago so I can't go and chop it apart already.
i wanted to tow two singles in tandem, but it's illegal in NY, don't know about your state... so i gotta suck it up and deal with my ski being outside on a double from now on since my dad got a SC now...

I have been looking to buy a double trailor. Anyone know a good place to look new or used doesn't really matter.

what if:
You take a normal boat trailor and do some modifications on it and then you can line your skiis up in a line on the existing bumpers... Like put on up front against the little rubber ball thing and tighten that one down with the strap ont eh front eye hook...and then on the second skii (right behind the first) use like a rachet start and strap the front eye hook of the second ski to the back eye bolt thing on the second ski..and then tanke two rachet straps and rachet the 2 eye bolts on the back of the second ski to the trailor...I dont thiknk they would go anywhere! and it would fit in a single garage

they make trailers with two winches one behind the other... IE 4 palce trailers...
but unless u got a 25 foot long garage bay, that ain't hapenin AJthey'll fit width-wise of course, but many would be hard pressed to have a garage bay that long, but i'm sure some people do, but that's noy typical
