Break In
Today me and my bro started breaking in our familys rxp...we got about 2 hours on her and went 26 miles. For the first 4-5 min i just let it idle and then slowly started going up rpms. For the first hour we went to about 4000 as a limited. In the second hour to about 5000 and i did two 1 second bursts to about 6500. Are we breaking it in to hard? Also the idle speed seemed pretty fast to me 1800 rpm's? It was a little cold if you got wet but we had a good time, i just wish we could have stayed out there longer...lake was 60* and air was around 68*. What do you suggest for the next coming hours?

are u breaking it in TOO HARD? nopeee, not hard enough!
1800 is normal, that' why u have reverse
have fun, don't baby it. accelerate hard, squeeze it wide open a few times, worked it all the way up and down from 1800-8000 rpms... most of the time stay below 7000... then every 10-15 minutes whack it up to 7500-8000

26 miles in 2 hours means you babied it too much also.... don't be scared and intimidated.... it's important to warm the ski up fully for the first 5 minutes at least... then u can run it and vary throttles and ride fast and accelerate hard

after it warms up ride it like you stole is, just don't leave it at ANY rpm for a long time.
