Where are the internal fuel filters?
On the 96 xp, with the dual bn-40-i's, where are the internal fuel filters located. I do not want to get too deep into the carbs. I just want to take apart as little as possible. Is it an easy cleaning job? If I could just find out where they are, clean em out, and put them back in, that would be perfect. Does anyone knoe offhand where they are? Thanks, Charlie

O ended up finding them. I took apart the carbs and layed everything out, cleaned it all with carb cleaner, and reassembled. I think the guy who had it before me had the carbsrebuilt because everything was immaculate and new. I can't quite call it a rebuild because I didn't replace anything. All of the rubber o-rings were good, and everything else was mint. I got lucky. I lubed up all of the joints and springs on the linkages etc. I bolted on my exhaust manifold, and then bolted the carbs on. I am putting the motor back in the hull tomorrow morning. I put all new gaskets, and it will be running soon.
Good to hear PR! I just have to say, you do truly nice work. I have been watching you as you have dove head first into all of your mods. As I watch along the way, I am more and more impressed. As somone sadi before, it is very cool how you are doing all of these mods to a gtxsc and not an rxp/t. And for that I have a whole lot more respect for you! Every since I have been on .net and here, I have looked up to you, for your skills, friendliness, and the pure ammount of fun you bring to these boards! Again, Great job, and at the rate you are going, I'm sure you will be keeping up with the rxp/t tuners! Thanks, Charlie!

I`m glad you found your carbs to be in great condition. Are you following any kind of torque specs for -re-assambly? Just curious. I have learned over the years, that even though one may tighten things down assuming it is adequate, with the expansion rates in the different materials/metals/composites these skis are assembled with, could very well loosen or stress fasteners and components...just a question!?...PR...
