What all is required to swap props...
Getting ready to do this as soon as prop comes in...Got a prop tool on the way and the prop is on the way...
I've got pulling the whole setup apart and taking the prop off...That's no problem but is there any type of oil/grease required when you put it back together?
Silly question I know but remember I'm coming from a stupid simple Polaris pump with 4 bolts and sealed bearings...

I asked Jerry and he said to follow his directions in the technicle forum...
Red Devil told me to just use a bit of grease from the nose cone and make sure its on the top of the bearings, and pack it down....
So no need for any new grease or anything....
The only thing I think Jerry recomends is using some marine (waterproof) grease on where the pump housing mates up to the Pump housing shoe. just take a little bit and put a thin coat on it so it mates up nice and tight!
Correct me if I am wrong Jerry.

Sirhc, there is grease in the pump cone stock. No oil. Some guys change to oil for added RPMs supposedly.
Also, the thing about putting marine grease around the pump, that's just a thing I do. Its not mandatory, just made sense to me to get that spot lubed and mating well when the rubber seal goes back in there. It probably washes out the first time you hit the throttle, hehe.

Missed that one...I went through the tech section looking for something on props but missed the obvious one that talked about wear rings...

Yeah, I forgot it didn't say anything about prop swapping in the subject. I edited the subject and cleaned it up a bit to make it clearer.
