05 rxp or 00-03 xp? help me decide.
i am looking for some opinions from you guys who have had both skis. i used to have a 99 xp, and really liked it. well i have been looking for another one. and then i started looking at the rxp, and i really like it too. i know the rxp wont handle as well, but is it worth the extra 5 grand to get the rxp?
just found out today i am a go for the rxp, now i just have to decide if i want to fork out 10 g's for one.
let me hear what you think fellas.
dustin.

I have both and I will tell you it is a hard choice.
Why? Because they both have Different riding styles to them.
I love the fun factor of the XP, but I would miss the all out power and speed of the rxp.
After playing with them both all weekend I actually stayed on the XP more. It is just a more fun ski.
So IMO if yiu want power and Speed get RXP.
And if you want a nimble fun ski get XP.

I have a 2002 Lvl 1 XP and an RXP. My XP kills any XP DI (and I ride with 3 XPDI's) I love both skis, but I ride the RXP much more than the XP. I guess I'm a speed junky.

Franko, I just got rid of my 01xpl L-1 and it was faster on top then my DI, but theXPDi L-1 is quicker out the hole. I would have to say the carbed model is by far the better way to go if you intend to mod it past my L-1 XPDI.
I think you directed your post to my XPDi L-1 Not sure.
But I loved both the 01xp L-1 and my L-1 XPDi. It was just time for change and I like the Fuel thing with the DI.

The XP is a closed course monster, turns tight and handles great even though it's not very fast, the RXP is the exact opposit, depends on what you plan doing with your ski.

You did come to an rxp forum, of course the owners will suggest you go with the rxp, it is the best!
I would only get the xp if I planned on not riding much further than your local cove, kind of like a stand-up. They are good for short rides, jumping, turning. You try to go the distance on that and you are in for some pain.
However, unlike what some of the non owners say, the rxp will and can turn on a dime. I don't know you and you didn't mention you are a closed course racer, or if you ride in the ocean or not but no matter, get the rxp! You won't be upset, except for your empty wallet!
