Impeller removal, driveshaft
After you remove the pump and impeller is it ok to leave the driveshaft (long pole going into the hull) leaning down and not elevated a little.
If feels like something is holding the weight of the driveshaft. Didn't know if it was ok or if I need to put rolled up cloth to prop it up.

It will be okay left hanging.Just don't tow this way could damage carbon ring. Will have to elevate a little to start pump back on it.

That's not a bad idea because the carbon ring will chip pretty easy and a good idea for lining up pump.
