Skeg's on the Yamaha's
Looks like the GPR guys are sharing the same success with the skegs on the rideplate

I think it is an excellent idea...I just wonder why nobody thaught of it b4..

Wouldn't putting skegs or sharpening the chines on the hull around the intake area give lift too ?

He's been working on designs for a while now... just never quite hit on the combo....I bet he's tried 20 different styles.... He's always ahead of his time.

Yep, last year at mudbug stan had some flat bar epoxied to his rideplate.

All of the old Aftermarket companies used to make ride plates with fins or skegs on them. Mariner, Ocean pro, DG, triton, PJS. they stoped when the IJSBA outlawed them for racing because if someone got run over the protruding fin or skeg would shred the downed rider.

I think it would hurt about the same with or without the skegs

Ya think?
Let me slap ya across the chest with a 4' 2x4. Then let me slap ya across the chest with that same 2x4 but now having a 10 penny nail driven through it,,,,,see what I mean. pain is pain but in reality they are different.
