Removing the intake grate how is this done
Can any one tell me how this is done?? I have a 1998 SPX and I have owned it from new and now I want to start making it quicker

Should only be 4 bolts on the bottom of the grate, just loosen them with a socket set, and set the new on up and tighten the bolts. Don't tighten to tight because they will break under too much tension. Good luck.

I believe that sea-doo.net has a How To note about removing the grate. Perhaps I just read somthing about it there....???
If I recall, basically one needs to heat the bolts using a large soldering iron to loosen the loc-tite. Be careful that you don't break the bolts off !!

The older had 1 large spring. The newer have 2 springs. The smaller slides...
