New to the forum...got some questions
Good day to you all!!
Okay I’m brand spanking new to this forum, and to the Sea-Doo RXP community. Just picked up a 06 model this week and got tons of questions….I’m so eager to start installing modifications on this beast, but before I start doing that I really need to get familiar with the damn thing.
First question I have is what’s up with O.P.A.S. system…in my operator’s guide it tells me that they drop down after some speed…but not too sure if this model has that? Do they really serve there purpose or should I trash them and install the Block Off’s?
Second does this model have a working compass…I see it light up when I connect the key but shortly after a black screen only….?
Third on the instrument cluster I see a hazard sign (Maintenance reminder (MAINT)) is this on all the time or do I need to take it to the shop…(I just got one hour on it)??
Fifth question what is a good modification to start with?
Sixth and last….for now….what oil do you all use for the engine and SC?
Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated…Thanks all!!

Nice ski and welcome!
Probably the first best mod would be to remove that OPAS system...
If you search the board or just read alot of older threads you'll find lots of answers about mods- from mild to wild- begining to end.

If you tie down the back of your ski like that you're going to screw up the rub rail & the gelcoat where the tiedown rubs against it- you need to find a way to use the eyes that are bolted on the back of your hull

I think it is about $20 at a dealer.
Get rid of your tie downs!!
