Pigment for hull products.
I have a few gouges that I wanted to fill with pigmented marine tex, and I bought more stuff today. I filled all of the low spots and sanded everything flat so, my hull is true, but... I should have done that after I fill in these little gouges, and then there is that big patch of exposed glass that you guys saw. The gouges are mainly on the bow portion and not where I did the truing but there are a few tiny spots where I trued. So I guess if I just sand the marine tex flat when I'm done, I should be fine.
My question is, I bought some fresh white marine tex and some yellow pigment. The thing is, it says the pigment can be mixed with gel coat. Is it ok to use this pigment with marine tex? You know just adding in droplets as I stir the marine tex until it is the color I want?

Hi Charlie, I have no experience with that, but I don`t see why you can`t try it. Can you mix just a little and fill in a hole and see how it cures?...PR...
