VTS removal help
I am working on the Riva thru-hull exhaust mod and came to the VTS shaft removal. Is there a easy way to remove the nut off the back? It is plastic and I don't really want to torque it too much. Is there an easier way? Or do I just use channel locks and twist it off?

I wouldn't worry with removing the VTS to get the resonator out.
If you take a sawzall and cut the part of the resonator that the hoses connected to. (the part that looks like a pipe) The resonator will come right out without any fuss.
60 seconds and its outta there!
