Thread: Weed problems?

    Weed problems?

I have a lake house at Sandy Pond, NY right off of Lake Ontario and the weeds are basically at the surface in parts along my shoreline so I basically have to ride it into the middle of the pond and then jump in the water and reach into the grate and pull em off.Is that the only easy way to get rid of the weeds or is there a trick to not picking them up?Anyone else ride around on Sandy Pond?

I ride on Lake Ontario in a bay that is similar.... I ride in a bay that in the early spring and late summer the weeds are incredible.... sorry to tell you there is no way around it!!!

I tend to not put my ski in the same launch during these times and just try to avoid them.... they are horrible to your pump/impeller/wear ring and will eat them up depending on exactly what kind of weeds you have in your area and what they have in them....

Try to find another lauch spot or try to lauch directly into the lake.... I know...It sucks but there is no real answer...
