Am I a victum of a Crappy dealer or was it the heat?
Hey ,Guys First let me say I had to take 2 and 1/2 quarts of oil out of my ski after the 10 hour service.
And then another 1/2 a quart at the lake. Yes that High after my dealer service. What I did for warranty issue's anyway.
Well as ya'll know my RXP ran 66 full
67 half
69 empty. At about 7900-8000rpm's
Well this weekend for the first time after my 10 hour service this is what I got.
A couple of rags in my compartment. Yes his shop rags.
A full tank of gas I hit only 63 mid trim just sitting normal and that was it.
Is this normal 63 MPH full tank and no supperman stance. at only about 7700 RPm's.
I then pulled the ski and went to lake house and with motor still warmed and level I rechecked oil and I pulled another 1/2 a quart out of the ski and I got it to finally see half or a little more on the dip stick.
Then went back out and could only average 65-66 at 7700 RPM's with a half tank of gas.
Then finally with it empty it pull only 7800-and a few blips at 7850rpm's.
Now it was about mid 80's and hummid. Was this a normal day for my RXP? Do they slow down this much with just a little hot and hummind day are did the techs over filling the oil cause this to happen and will it return to normal since I pulled the oil down to a respectable level.
What are some stock #'s with full tank in the heat?
Thanks guys and anything will help and I will get them done today as I am off all week.

In mid 80's , I pull 8100 RPM on stock ski w/ 18 hours. GPS at 67.5 full tank.
It may be time to find another shop, you think?

Shop rags left in your ski, definitely time to find a new dealer. Sorry to hear about the problems you're having.

Her is a update.
I checked oil again on a level shop stand in the garage and it is at 1/2 on the stick cold. Still is high. So I have pull more out to get it to read on the bottom mark cold.
Can anyone tell me if this hurts my ski running it with high oil and will I get my R'sss back after I get oil to a perfect level?

If I were you I would just forget about checking the oil until you can do it on the water with a warm ski. You can't assume anything when it's cold in the garage on the trailer.

if the oil is high it will rob you of RPM's. Also heat and humidity play a role in how many RPM's you can pull.

Mike, I agree, but I had a base line from before. My ski was cold and the oild was at the bottom of the line cold. And when I warmed it up it went to the 3/4 spot. So I was just tring to get to a good spot since it had so much darn oil in it and at the lake house I was useing my little had pump.
Jerry will I lose 300 RPM's with high oil? And will it come back?
I'll get these four strokes yet.

yes, i've lost 300 rpm's due to high oil. once my engine is hot i like to keep the oil 1/4 up the stick. any lower and the oil warning starts going off.

If I would have to guess I would say my oil was 3 quarts over filled.
Easy. I hope I gain my 66mph at 8000 rpm back with my oil level back to normal.
I would hate to of had him screw something else up.
