15/19R 3 blade, good results on Stg2???
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller??
I have a brand new 15/19R 3 blade that I have not tried yet, and I don't have as much testing time as I wish ... so I wanted to see if ANYONE has had good top speed results with the 3 blades on a stock ECU (8100 rpms) setup ... otherwise I might just sell it.

Its an acceration prop, not a topend prop.....It will pull WAY harder than your 15/20, but will not have the top end....You will loose about 2mph up top.
Its a good prop, I run it right now. I'd rathr have the pull of the acceleration, than topend, because I know I am not gonna be the quickest out there....Last edited by Danny; 08-09-2007 at 12:30 PM.

Hey Danny, If its a 15/19R that you run, What is your top speed?
I would do the same if I can at least achieve 75 mph. Even at stock where I am at that's 69 or 68. I'm still the fastest. I wouldn't mind having better holeshot.

To turn a 15/19 3-blade, you need to run an IC setup, 4" intake also...you need that otherwise it will bog down....
My top end, with stock ECU, stock injectors, and stock SC...I'm at 75.6 @ 8100.
Look at the mods database, and you can see what I am running...

I have experienced the same thing as Danny. Great prop but if you're looking for top speed, it's not a good idea.

I don't know ...
75.6 with your mods Danny ... that is right up there with any 4 blade speed with similar mods ... that is really moving with your mods, that is the best I did with Stg 2 and stock SC impeller and my 15/20. That is very good I think ... for 4 blade or 3 blade. Heck, I may have to try that dang impeller yet ...

The props are 2 different animals...try it and see, you'll be tempted to keep the prop and pick up a 2nd pump....LOL
If I swapped a 15/20 in there, I'd be in the 76-77 range...but i would loose the PULL...
This winter I want to toss in a SC wheel and 42's, pitch the 15/19 prop, and be around 76-77 and keep the same PULL I have...

I'm getting solid 74's from the 15/19R on my Stg 2 @ 8100 with an 83mm ring. To be honest though, I like the 13/18 3 blade's thrust with an 80 or 81mm ring better.
The 15/19 is faster from upper mid to top end than the 13/18 & rings but not by much.
I just had impros repitch the 13/18 to a 14/18 so I can use the 82 ring..I'll see how it works this weekend.
13/18 3 blade + 83mm ring = 8280rpm...Spun out of the hole but Best top end
13/18 3 blade + 81mm ring = 8180rpm...little spin out of the hole Best all around
13/18 3 blade + 80mm ring = 8120rpm...No spin & Best out of the hole to mid
13/18's top end mph didn't change much between rings.
15/19 3 blade + 83mm ring = 8100rpm...little spin, Great mid to top end punch
15/19 3 blade + 82mm ring = 8020rpm...No spin, sluggish mid to top end, same top speed. 74+Last edited by ou812; 08-09-2007 at 01:26 PM.
