Kawi Oil Filter...
Kawi Oil Filter...
I've been told to use the Kawi oil filter for oil changes and have seen that everyone on here recommends oil changes at 10hrs (cool, go that) BUT is everyone changing the oil filter as well or running those for 20hrs???
Any input would be appreciated... THANKs

Mitch,
If there is a fuel dilution issue, change it out when you change the oil. You can have an issue with the media coming apart, also you will still have the fuel diluted oil in that filter. I would also put on a neodym magnet on the outside of the oil filter, since there is not way to put in a magnetic drain plug. You will be suprised at how much metal is caught by it.

Mitch thats a great idea! I race R/C cars in the fall winter, and the new brushless armature's in the motor have that magnet in it, WOW!! Incredible Strong! lol

It's amazing how many metal particles it traps.
Thanks for the tip.

Actually by the time these metal particals are trapped by the filter magnet, they have already made their way into the oil filter and were not going anywhere from there. The place for a magnet would be on a drain plug, which can't be done on any PWC engine where oil can't be drained and has to be sucked out.
