Super Stock C/C
Had some issues with detonation ...resolved them with changing to higher Octane fuel Picked up the Factory Pipe High Flow Waterbox , and not sure if i can run this without inserts in my pipes.
FP dosen`t carry them anymore and said it was needed for back pressure ? The # 26mm comes to mind for these inserts?
Can i control the pipes from the Jets on them alone?
Also can`t seem to get the EGT`s up any on the mag Pipe it`s at 345-360
center close to 800-850
pto= 645-689
with these do i lean it out till the Number jumps , what`s ideal? I heard 825-900 to stay safe ?
Momma`s gettting on me about the wrenching and the cost
beside I`m sick of both as Well ,Thanks in advance, Matt, Toledo

You mean the jets on the pipes? They are a 155 jet.

I pulled my 26mm stingers out of the pipes to lessen the heat for pump gas versus MS109. My waterbox is one of the original yamaha mod'd boxes that had top inputs. (most 00-02 Yamaha race boats ran this mod before the FPP).
I expect to loose "about 100-150 rpm" and the low mid to a point will probably improve. They're are a couple of schools of thought on sleeving stingers versus restricting down stream. It's all trial and error with individual setups.
Egt's depend on distance to the piston face. If your in the manifold which is about 2" away I would expect something cooler like your 800-900 numbers. Farther out at the optimum point you should see 1150-1200. Most Sleds run up in the 1100's

Running the M-16 offshore reeds , new this season.
I`ll double check .
the Egt`s are in the manifolds, so i`ll play with the carbs a bit ,and go from there ?
Going to keep stock H2o box till i find all these GREMLINS.
Thanks for the insight
any one else ?
