So, now I've got my old crank, with a bad bearing
I don't want to trash the thing, other than the bearing, she's pristine!
What can I do?
I'd love to have a spare crank on the bench "just in case"!

If one bearing failed chances are the others will be right behind.
Boats.net and Riva can get you a new one from Yamaha for around $700-$800 and Crankworks or Falicon can rebuild along with trueing and welding for about the same price. Usually Lowell has a Crankworks rebuild in stock.
