great idea and all... but i don't know ANYONE that has put a stock intercooler in a GTX SC... reason being, we're not so sure the end cap on the intake manifold is just glued in there or molded in there during manufacture process. 01xdime tried for awhile to remove that end cap with zero success

on the RXP/T .. the intercooler slides into the intake manifold. look in your engine compartment and look on the side of the engine next to the battery... you see a round black flat cap sorta on the intake manifold? that's where the intercooler goes. on your machine, inside that hollow area is a flame arrestor..(a metal mesh screen so to speak) ... to be able to use a stock intercooler, you need to figure out how to remove that end cap on the intake manifold and also remove the flame arrestor.
I don't know anyone that got the end cap off... but i don't know all that many people that have tried

I tried and gave up when it looked like I was going to destroy the intake. Since everything is plastic there is no way to tell how it is on. It is probably glued but you can't heat up the manifold to break the glue.

why couldnt you just put the stock intercooler in the rear of the ski (like were the riva/rotax intercooler go)and go into the same inlet in the intake manifold that the supercharger does now? I guess I am confused...I will have to go and look.

no those are external intercoolers, the stock one is an internal intercooler.
If you would like to do an intercooler I would get one off ebay and play with it ($200). Plumbing probably ($100-200)

that's what i was explaining to you... look at your intake manifold... u can't miss it, there's what looks like a round cap on the engine side near the battery... it goes INTO the manifold, nothing like the riva or rotax intercoolers
