I love the NHRA. It is amazing to how small those pistons and stroke truly are yet they produce upto 8k HP. If your a chevy guy, the Bigblock 454 has the same / simalar sized bore and just a little less stroke. For the Ford guys, the 490 is basically the same specs. Many of the big trucks today have more displacement than the top fuel / funny cars.
Image an alcohol or nitro injected PWC. That would be fun.

They told me @ 8k rpm,the blower pumps out 150 psi!!!!!!!!!
It takes 800hp to spin the blowers!!!!!!!
Thats a Nascar motor my friends.....

whats really cool is how the drivers will hook you up with parts from the motor as you stand by the trailer. thats why i love the sport

Watching them run was a blast,BUT the pits are the BOMB! We spent about 75% of the day down there.Thats were the real deal is.

Everytime i tried to film the warm ups,my new Sony HD camcorder went into a 'date error' mod from the concushion (spell check) of the motor.
