Those who have installed RE Block off's...
I am curious how they are on a GTX/RXT??
Did you notice a difference??
If so what is the biggest difference?

The handleing in rough water is better, a lot.

Cut thru chop alot better, started sliding on corners & waves @ angle
Took off stock grate & went to WORX(corners real "odd"though, like putting skegs to far forward)sliding diminished substantually, but still there.
I know that putting on Jerrys skegs & sliding will no longer be a issue.I ,myself have not gone the skeg route till the ISJBA allows them.Last edited by lugnut; 08-03-2007 at 08:07 AM.

two2, I have on the 04, with 05 sponsons and stock grate and wedge. love `em... tracks better, corners better, with the stock sponsons I get a little bit of a slide so I don`t lose to many rpm`s. goes really good in the chop...
I get just a itsy bitsy of chine walk when taking off slowly, but if you aggressively launch it just blasts straight!...PR...

REs and a wedge are a wicked combo. Spinning out can be controlled easily by moving body weight to the back and then it hooks a turn just as hard as stock.

Thanks for the input guys... they sure look good on a ski rather than the standard opas block offs..

I currently have a 2006 RXT with Solas 14/19R and pump wedge to increase wave jumping and to decrease porpoising.
Question: If I were to install RE Blockoff and R&D intake grate, will they help with wave jumping and/or porpoising?
For me, wave jumping takes priority over porpoising.
Any response would be appreciated.

I am really considering it... My boat starts to do some funky "Chine walk" @ 75ish... Everyone I ride with says it looks very slight... But to me it feels like I am riding an STV... It is kind of neat... Very slight... ALmost un-noticable...
But What concernes me most is when I am @ full throttle and I look back @ my water displacement... Just behind the hull where the opas was you get some funky looking waves... So I know the hydrodynamics must be slightly off back there... Now I also know it is not nessicarily a speed loss or increase but it must play with handling somewhat...
