Having an issue
Took the spitfire out today for closed coaurse practice and the damn thing was missing and coughing ran like crap. Removed plug from#1 and it was covered in black soot? cleaned it off and it did it again. Time after time same thing? Towards the end of the 2 1/2 hour practice the low fuel buzzer came on and the ski started running perfect again. What the heck is going on here? Could pepsi still be causing this black soot covered plug problem? The plugs only had 1 hour of run time on them. They were brand new.

Joe, your time is more valuble than to clean plugs.
Put in a new set of three and see what happens.
Let us know. It might be a one time thing. It certainly is normall for them to foul a plug but only after extended periods of lack of use.
Shame on you! I will be happy to use the spitfire for you if you dont have the time!!!

Steve, these plugs were brand new. It has fouled a plug everytime I go out. The ski is beat to an inch of its life twice a week. These were not like fuel fouled plugs they are black soot
I was planning on racing the long beach sprint nationals until Ross and Folmer decided to not allow the spitfire to race
There is nothing on the water that would be at the race that could ever hope to hang with the spitfire. I just dont understand those two guys! So back on topic black soot covered plugs is normal?

Sorry I was just messing with you. Too bad about Long Beach, I know Johnny and Hedi said they were going just because you were going. Are you still going to go? If not let them know.
Ok,
What are the compressoion numbers when warm?
I would swap coils from #1 to another one and try that. Next I would swap injectors from #1 to another one and try that.
I am flying to San Diego at 10 this morning. Will be in Poway for the weekend. Do you need a service call?
Give me a call after you swap the coils and injectors and let me know how it goes. I wont have my own computer.

just don't swap the injectors and the coils at the same time
my money is on the coil, but i could have a pintle not seating good in the injector. Now if u have a spare coil.....run it till its missing, shut it down, swap that coil w/ known good coil....do this 1st, its easy...no tools, and itis the most likely cause.
