    weight of gear and speed

How much weight do you normally carry in the front storage? I will have to carry around 20lbs total for a trip and I am wondering how much it will slow me down.

I carry 4 life jackets, rope, shoes, a couple of towels... I strap a cooler onto the back of my ski to most of the time when we do club rides.

Doesnt slow me down a bit..

The cooler on the back of the ski makes a big difference. I have a small cooler that I fill with ice and coooooold beeeeeervrages and it will make that nose on the ski dive big time. Also when I'm putting along @ idle I sit as far back as I can on the ski as to put as much weight on the back of the ski to bring that nose up as much as I can. I notice when the nose dives the top foward compartment gets water in it. I just drilled some holes in the top tray and took the plug out of the bottom compartment to rid of any water it might collect.
