My new 2000 ultra 150
Took a couple pictures today.... first day out on the lake, gps'd at 65.8 (dream-o-meter at 78!) Runs nice and strong, and plugs look nice and cocoa brown. RPM's were just a shot under 7000 is that what they are supposed to be?
It has been serviced regularly by a local kawasaki dealer. I checked the small oil lines that feed the carbs, nice and secure and like everything else about the ski, they look brand new. Anything else I should know being a new kawasaki owner? I had a blast today at the lake, frankly I think the ultra handles quite well, seems much better then my 97 gp1200 did. I love it!
Anyway, let me know what you think!

Nice ride.
I had 2 of them and I can honestly say it was one of the funnest skis I ever had. I only sold them because we ride some ruff water from time to time and we also do a lot of 2 up riding with our kids and to me, these are single rider river boats.
As for machanical issues, other than the start switch, I never had any. And they are quick too. Most fun I had was running with a freind that was on a stock 05 GPR, I kicked his ass out the hole and he could not out run me on top end.
Damn good ski.

It sucks that i'm so far away from any other Ultras. I'm in the flat lands of Kansas where modding a ski is almost unheard of. The only other Ultra I know of sits on a trailer with a for sale sign right next to a honda 12r. So how fast are you wanting your ski to be?? The sponsons will make a huge difference, but the shredmaster is a must. I've dulled mine down a bit but I'm thinking next year I will go all out and with a little luck blow past the 75mph mark. If your getting new mats(the stock ones suck), hydroturf and jettraction make kits. I might still have a set of carbontech reeds with stuffers if you want to start building it up now.

Sounds like the ski is running good. In my area there are quite a few arround here I have seen atleast a dozen. Most of them are stock or very lite on the mods. I have 2 ultras now and a stx 1100 one is an 04 the other is a 2000. The 04 has a growing list of mods comming next is a set of buckshot 50 carbs mabe then ill see 70.
