Now where to go from here…..
I have an 00 gpr with the IR stage 2 kit, (cut plate & 12/19) Well I need more. The ski currently gps’s at 70.3 @ 6970rpm.
What items should I look into next?
Also what can I do to get the rpms up.

I would add the Vf3's and 3 degree key for extra rpm's.
05 pump upgrade would be another mod to look into, just depends on what you want out of the boat.

I still say I wouldnt put a key in a 1200. I think Ben has figured out how to do it, but I am still having a few minor problems with mine. I should be able to dome more testing before too long with a different combo.
And if he is having problems turning the concord, there is no way he can turn a Dynafly.
VFIII's are a good option to look at.

If he gets the rpm's up, which is what his goal is, the dynafly will be OK.

There are so many other things to do before dropping money on a pump and reeds. How about:
Finding out why you are 100+ rpm's low
Rejetting and TUNING the carbs
Tuning the ride plate
Tuning the tabs/sponsons
Tuning the grate/adding an 800 grate
Tuning the prop
etc.
Don't just throw money at the ski looking for speed. Maximize what you have NOW first.

If I was going to bet on it, I would say this is probably goping to be your problem. Be sure to check for anything that would cause drag also. Shoe hanging down, shoe not being sealed, plate angle being wrong, etc. All of these things will cause a loss in speeds. You should have no problem turning that prop with the mods in Carl's stage II kit.

Here are the details on my 1200 that I upgraded to a 1300

Instead of using a 3 degree keyway on a 1200 I think you would be better off simply swapping the OEM CDI for an aftermarket CDI. This gives you improved timing AND better control over the power valves.Last edited by philip_gpr; 08-01-2007 at 06:32 AM.
