Opinions on aftermarket waterboxes
Please, if you've ever tried one let others know what you think. Someone PMed me today asking about a Jetlyne waterbox he saw on Ebay. I told him what I've read and thought I'd try my DG that came in the mail yesterday. After all, the tri oval is the one Group K used in their 750 build up. I cleared the GPS and made a base run of 43.8 MPH. I then ran ashore and installed the DG with no tuning done, just a swap out of the stocker. Besides the louder exhaust note, it did seem a little quicker to accelerate (snappier). I ran the same water I did the base run with the DG, same distance etc... I came up with 42.9 MPH. Almost 1 MPH SLOWER. MY opinion, SAVE YOUR $$$$ GUYS!!!!!

I never felt any top end from my HOTSEAT box but IT DOES rev up quiker,
I love it.
BUT I dont do much "high

does your waterbox have a water inlet on it??????? I had mine unblocked for my first run, exhaust couldn't exit the hull, actually lost speed, then i hooked up a water line to it and ran better than it ever had!!

To noisy and expensive for all the noise and little to no gain.
By replacing the waterbox you have changed the back pressure within the exhaust system. It doesn't suprise me with no mods or other alterations you lost somewhere in the powerband.
