2 QUICK ?'s.......need understanding
I need to understand one thing because i keep reading different threads with contradicting information:
1) When i bend the prop blades putting the wrench 1" from rear trailing edge and i bend the prop to have more clearance OFF the table/bench. Bending the trailing edge TOWARDS the prop driveshaft boot or front of prop. such as i measure the Riva 10mm when i get it from Riva then add/ INCREASE to 12mm does this INCREASE or DECREASE the PITCH in my prop??????????
then:
2) when i add the 2MM to gap from bench to trailing edge of prop tip, which is what RXP Steve told me u measured when performing this operation, does the INCREASE or DECREASE the RPM???????????
i just want OFFICIAL CLARIFICATION on this so me and BOB1988 can begin to bend and get it right. we have seen and read what we thought were contradicting threads and information or maybe its my redneck thinking thats got me stuck in the head but thanks in advance for the help fellas much appreciated!!!!!!!!!

You are decreasing pitch.1 and 2 achieve the same result.

ok so adding MM to gap DECREAES PITCH but what about the RPM part of my question?????? hello?

Decreasing a props pitch will allow the engine to spin to a higher rpm. Increasing pitch puts more load on the engine therefore lowering rpm. More pitch generally requires more horsepower to turn the prop resulting in higher speeds. See, it's simple!

so to SIMPLIFY:
bending the blade to make MORE GAP to the bench at the trailing edge tip/ larger/adding MM's DECREASES PITCH and INCREASE RPM
bending the blade so it has LESS GAP to the bench at the trailing egde tip/ smaller/ decreasing MM's INCREASES THE PITCH and LOWERS the RPM's
is this CORRECT??????????????

That picture threw me off the first time I tried it as well. I stood on my head to look at it, and it all made sense.
